Quite often we mistakenly link the concept of Karma to some form of punishment or retribution. However, Karma actually embraces the universal principle of cause and effect; the cycle of action and reaction that steers us through our lives. We live our lives driven by our desires and what we perceive to be our needs- moving forward each day in a direction that we believe will satisfy us and bring us happiness. Unfortunately, we often find ourselves making decisions based on habit and simplicity and although we believe that we are in control, we are not. We get stuck in a “Karmic Wheel” of repetition and in its familiarity and comfort, settle in and accept it as our world.
Each day we are presented with an opportunity to refine our life. To live healthier, to be happier, to move on, and so consequently our decisions and actions today most definitely will create our world tomorrow.
That is Karma. Where you stand today is not based on coincidence or fate. It has been created by every step you have taken in your life. The love you have shared, the relationships you have embraced, the people you have forgiven, as well as those you have turned away from, along the way. More importantly it is about what you have accepted as yourself along your journey; and it is in this acceptance that we grow.
The seeds you have planted throughout your life have created the garden that represents what you have cultivated along the path of your life. Therefore Karma simply represents a map drawn based on every path we have taken- a map that we have an opportunity to refine each day of our life.
“You are your deepest driving desire.
As is your desire, so is your will;
as is your will, so is your deed;
as is your deed, so is your destiny.”
On Tuesday, we focus on the choices we have made in our lives that have brought us to this day. We acknowledge that all actions and results are intimately linked in your life; there are no coincidences.
Our lives are woven out of the cloth we provide, in the pattern we have created and in the design that our minds have intended. Embrace the power to change your world.
I acknowledge that I am steering my life with each decision that I make.

The Beginning
What is the moment of our birth?
We know the birthday of our body.
Yet we can never know the moment of birth of our character.
It has no date.
The birth of our character has many beginnings
and is without end
in the days and years of our life.
At every moment
we face an infinite number of opportunities
to create a greater meaning in our life.
Always, we find ourselves before another beginning.
In this we discover
the most creative power of Man:
the power and delight of
the self creation of our character.
We create our character
when we are alone with ourselves
and in the relationships
we also evolve with others.
And most of all
our values will be determined
by the direction in which we choose to grow
with others and within ourselves.
We know it is only when words move a man to act
that they reveal their strength.
In what we do, we find
the continuing birth of our character.
In what we do …
we are always before another beginning.
